Discipline Policy
At Skyway, it is our desire for all children to learn about Jesus and grow closer to Him.
In order to do this in an organized manner, we have established a few simple rules as our code of conduct in our various children’s ministries.
- Children obey your leaders, teacher, and helpers.
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Stay with your teacher or leader until your parent’s pick you up.
We wish to train children to respect themselves, others, and authority. If a child misbehaves they cheat themselves and others, consequently making it a difficult environment for learning.
If a child refuses to abide by the rules there are a few steps the teacher will follow.
- Verbal correction reminding them of the class rules
- Removal of child from activity for three minutes
- Note to parent’s letting them know about the behavior, and discuss it with the child before returning to class. (Any questions that a parent might have can be discussed with the Ministry Director not the teacher. Please do not disrupt a teacher during a class.)
We know you as parents agree how important it is for our children to get the most out of their church experience. We encourage you to help us by re-enforcing these basic policies.
